Alcoa Foundation & KIDS Foundation Partnership Impact and Effect Review

This evaluation uses a mixed-methods approach to capture the outcomes and impacts of the Alcoa Foundation and Kids Foundation Partnership, specifically the key programs of Safety Club, SeeMore Safety and injury Free Day. The methodology includes:

• A Partnership review, examining the key success factors of the Alcoa-KIDS Foundation partnership
• Survey with school principals/teachers across each Alcoa site (total = 40 schools) and pre-school directors/carers across each Alcoa site (total =24 preschools)
• Survey school and pre-school parents across each Alcoa site and pre-school directors/carers  across each Alcoa site for the years 2009 and 2010 
• Interviews with the key Alcoa employee responsible for the Partnership program per site.
• Develop a set of case studies (up to 6) demonstrating the level and degree of impact of the Partnership program. Case studies will demonstrate a variety of outcomes and impacts across a combination of schools and pre-schools, Alcoa employees and student/communities.
