This project involved the review and analysis of the workshop component of the pilot phase of the Governance Training Program (GTP). The review  provided advice on the effectiveness and appropriateness of the GTP in addressing the initial training needs of the Indigenous community sector. The evaluation reviewed the approach, relevance and content of the workshop part of the program.

The evaluation included the development of data collection instruments and baseline measures and aimed to contribute to:

• Future strategic directions relating to project enhancement and Workshops;
• For better forward planning in relation to need and costs.

The evaluation adopted a mixed-method approach using participant observation, qualitative and quantitative methods as well as document analysis.
